The ugliest scene you've ever seen

The other day, in a desperate attempt to finish my book before book club, I took it to the gym, hopped on the elliptical and read like crazy. I don't know how many of you have heard about the book The Kite Runner by Kahled Hosseini, but everyone should read it.

So, picture this:

There I am on the elliptical desperately trying to get my heartrate up, flipping pages, listening to the glorious iPod, with ESPN on the new personal televisions my gym has installed (fancy, I know). Anyway, somehow I have timed the workout and the reading perfectly. Just as I get to the end, and the most intense part of my workout, I reached the end, and the most intense part of my book. Go back to the mental image, me on the elliptical with every type of entertainment media available in front of me. Now picture all of that, plus some sweat and add a significant amount of tears running down my face, and you've got a mental image of the ugliest scene you've ever seen. It was really bad, but in a really good way.
